The ambition is to include the history of every house in the parish, regardless of its age, creating a modern Domesday Book of Steeple Morden dwellings. Each one is listed by its modern street address with number. Brambling House in Cheyney Street and Water End Barn in Brook End are the only two properties without an allocated street number, so appear only by house name and street.

The various hamlets are embraced within the overall sequence of addresses without specific note. Odsey is a little different as all houses in the listing are under Station Road, Odsey.
