2 & 2a Cheyney Street

This plot was originally part of the adjoining Mill Yard and a house stood on it, with its gable end facing onto Church Street and main face onto Cheyney Street. It was demolished in the mid 1960s and later when the Mill Yard site was redeveloped these two houses were built. The main redevelopment was carried out by Smith & Hitchings (Holwell) Ltd, but they sold this plot to Norfield Ltd on 15 October 1984.

Norfield erected the two houses and No 2 was sold 3 February 1986 to Hilary Jane Phillips and No 2a on 10 July 1985 to Ronald Frederick Watson & Joan Hilda Watson.
