98 Station Road, Odsey, The Old School House
Built in 1910 as accommodation for the head teacher of the adjoining school, by the Cambridgeshire County Council, in the Arts & Crafts style. It continued in use until 1972, along with the school, when it became an independent dwelling and appears to have reverted to the Fordham family, which had provided the land upon which the school and house were built. It was let and Derek G Craggs and Denise Craggs resided there in 1976.
It was still owned by John Rupert Fordham in 1977, but sold that year or 1978 to Peter M Broadbent and Susanna M Broadbent. They sold in 1979 to David S Smith and he in turn in 1981 to Robert (Robin) J C Hildyard & Mary Hildyard and they sold 25 March 1987 to Michael David Leary and Theresa Ann Leary, the current (in 2024) owners.
Planning applications have included a double garage in 1979 for David Smith approved, extension for R Hildyard, also approved, in August 1982 and a further extension approved for Mr & Mrs Leary in March 1995.
