Windmill View Nos 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7

The building of these houses was completed between February 2008 and November 2009.

Historically, this plot of land was sold to Eric Charles Jarman by the Fordhams in 1940 and he established a poultry farm. Later it became a small industrial estate and one business produced plastic coated wares etc. As the adjoining land to the south was left derelict and unused, the estate expanded onto this land and after 12 years of unchallenged occupation, it was absorbed into the original land holding.

Nevertheless, the bulk of Windmill View does occupy the land sold by the Fordhams to Eric Charles Jarman in 1940.  The land has a restrictive covenant and the current owners may not open a pub or sell ice cream. However, the land on the south that was “acquired” was originally the western end of the plot bought by Christmas at the Mabbott sale in 1841 and later owned by 1927 by Minnie Jarman and subsequently the Jarman family. On that land you can open a pub and sell ice cream.

The entire industrial estate was bought by Marchfield Developments Ltd in 2007 (?). The  registered office for the company was 4th Floor Imperial House, London, WC2B 6UN. John James Hilton, the purchaser of No 5 was a Director of the company.

The development and sales of Windmill Views went as follows:

No 2  Sold as a new build by Marchfield Developments to Richard Justin Turner Strutt and Jennifer Ellen Strutt on 31 July 2009. Acquired by current owners on 17 November 2017.

No 3  Sold as a new build by Marchfield Developments to James Richard Drake on 9 October 2009. Acquired by Joanne Calderbank and Sacha Tristian Wilks on 28 February 2020.

No 4  Sold as a new build by Marchfield Developments to Dominic Peter D’Souza and Polina Grigoryevna D’Souza on 26 June 2008. Acquired by Ahmet Ozkay Izzet and Sarah Joanne Izzet on 6 April 2018.

No 5  Sold as a new build by Marchfield Developments to John Hilton James on 26 August 2009. Acquired by Michael Christopher Beebee and Jane Von Seelen Hansen on 21 March 2014.

No 7  Sold as a new build by Marchfield Developments to Richard Jeppesen and Susan Jeppesen on 15 February 2008. Acquired by Nigel Paul King and Kristin Louisa King on 26 January 2017.
