62 & 64 Station Road

The original Mill House for Flitton’s Mill was divided into two dwellings at some point and the northern half became 62 and the southern half 64, when the parish property numbering scheme took place in 1969. The history on this page is about the new numbers 62 & 64, created as part of the redevelopment of the original Flitton’s Mill plot of land which was acquired with its buildings for £481,500 on 9 December 2011 by Gordon Stewart Lund and Olga Feodorovna Lund of Walkern Park Farm, Clay End, Walkern.

The original Mill House, illustrated below, bungalow and barn were demolished and the two new semi-detached houses (Nos 62 and 64) were built at the front of the plot. In the aerial image the two new houses are on the right, just before the road.

No 62 was bought by Christopher John Adshead and Melanie Jane Adshead on 11 May 2018 and subsequently on 7 June 2019 they bought the strip of land on the north that was earlier intended to be part of the access drive to No 60, Mill Barn.

No 64 was bought by Matthew Fields and Ewelina Katarzyna Wohlert on 10 April 2018.
