Lee Family

Eleanor Jane Phillips came to Steeple Morden around 1903-04 with her parents and subsequently the family lived at Litlington, where Eleanor married John Lee in 1923. They had one daughter Annie Clarice Lee, before John died of TB at the Papworth Colony in 1925. Eleanor and daughter Annie Clarice moved to Steeple Morden in 1948 and ran the Post Office in Cheyney Street until 1983. An extensive history of the Post Office is here.
