The Green Man, Hay Street and The Plough, Cheyney Street Sale by Exors of Thomas Strickland deceased 15 September 1876
The Green Man and The Plough were included in Lot 1. The Green Man had been owned by Thomas Strickland’s father John, a brewer and maltster, who went bankrupt in 1821 and moved to Potton, where he re-established himself. Thomas Strickland acquired The Plough in 1835.
