Krishan Puvvada
From birth Krishan Puvvada lived in Station Road, Steeple Morden and for a couple of years attended Steeple Morden School. Over 2019-2022 he attended the University of Manchester reading Politics and Modern History, whilst also working part-time for the Financial Times as Project Lead, Education overseeing the Financial Times services and interactions with secondary schools around the world.
After the sudden death of his mother in 2017, when he was still at school, he has written of his loss and grief and how the experience taught him that there needs to be greater support and more understanding for bereaved young people. His article, published in the FT Weekend Magazine 14 November 2020 is reproduced in its entirety below.
Krishan is a life-long fan of Manchester United football team and in 2022 took up a business management role with the Club and moved to live in Manchester.
