Robert WING (1799- )

1. Robert WING was born on 10 December 1799 in Meldreth, Cam. He was baptised on 3 July 1800 in Meldreth. He married Mary WAKEFIELD on 19 July 1820 in Meldreth. On 6 June 1841 he was a Carrier in Melbourn, Cam. On 6 June 1841 he lived in Melbourn.

On 6 June 1841 Mary WAKEFIELD lived in Melbourn. In October 1845 she lived in Melbourn. She died in 1845 in Melbourn. She was buried on 30 October 1845 in Meldreth.  She and Robert WING had the following children:

He married Harriet PRESTON in 1866 in Therfield, Hrt. He appeared in the census on 2 April 1871 in Bassingbourn aged 28. He appeared in the census on 3 April 1881 in Bassingbourn aged 37. On 3 April 1881 he was a Baker in Bassingbourn aged 37. He appeared in the census on 5 April 1891 in Bassingbourn aged 48. On 5 April 1891 he was a Master Baker in Bassingbourn aged 48. In 1892 he lived in Bassingbourn. He appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 in Bassingbourn aged 58. On 31 March 1901 he was a Baker & Publican in Bassingbourn aged 58. On 2 April 1911 he lived in Bassingbourn. He appeared in the census on 2 April 1911 in Bassingbourn aged 68. On 2 April 1911 he was a Baker & Publican in Bassingbourn aged 68. He died on 19 November 1912 in Bassingbourn. He was buried on 21 November 1912 in Bassingbourn. He had his estate probated on 28 December 1912 in Peterborough, Nth. He was buried on 25 January 1927 in Bassingbourn.

Harriet PRESTON was born in 1843 in Therfield. She died on 21 January 1927 in Bassingbourn.  She and Alfred WING had the following children:

4. Ernest Alfred WING, son of Alfred WING and Harriet PRESTON, was born in 1867 in Bassingbourn, Cam. On 2 July 1891 he lived in Comberton< Cam. He was a Baker & Publican. He married Elizabeth Mary STANDEN on 2 July 1891 in Bassingbourn. He died on 1 September 1899 in Bassingbourn. He was buried on 4 September 1899 in Bassingbourn.

Elizabeth Mary STANDEN was born on 14 April 1863 in Great Gransden, Hun. On 29 September 1939 she lived in Bassingbourn. She died on 17 November 1950 in Bassingbourn. She was buried on 21 November 1950 in Bassingbourn.  She and Ernest Alfred WING had the following children:

       5.Herbert Preston WING, son of Alfred WING and Harriet PRESTON, was born on 7 October 1869 in Bassingbourn. He was a Carpenter & Accountant. He appeared in the census on 5 April 1891 in South Mimms, Hrt aged 21. On 5 April 1891 he was a Carpenter in South Mimms aged 21. He married Amy DOWNES in 1893 in Barnet, Hrt. He appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 in South Mimms aged 31. On 31 March 1901 he was a Carpenter in South Mimms aged 31. He appeared in the census on 2 April 1911 in Potters Bar, Hrt aged 41. On 2 April 1911 he was a Carpenter in Potters Bar aged 41. He died on 1 December 1918 in Barnet. He was buried in December 1918 in Potters Bar.

Hebret Preston Wing was the putative father of Bertie Wiseman.

Amy DOWNES was born on 11 June 1869 in Potters Bar. On 29 September 1939 she lived in Potters Bar. She died in 1953 in Barnet.  She and Herbert Preston WING had the following children:

6. Elizabeth May WING, daughter of Ernest Alfred WING and Elizabeth Mary STANDEN, was born on 1 August 1893 in Barton, Cam. She was a School Teacher. On 29 September 1939 she lived in Bassingbourn, Cam. In 1977 she lived in Bassingbourn. She died on 4 April 1977 in Bassingbourn. She had her estate probated on 4 May 1977 in Ipswich, Sfk.

     7. Amy Margaret WING, daughter of Herbert Preston WING and Amy DOWNES, was born in 1894 in Potters Bar, Hrt. She married Thomas W HUNTLEY in 1918 in Canterbury, Knt.

Thomas W HUNTLEY was born in 1895. He died in 1946.

8. Winifred Harriet WING, daughter of Herbert Preston WING and Amy DOWNES, was born in 1897 in Potters Bar. She married Douglas Walter SCOTT on 17 September 1919 in St Pancras, London.
9. Avice Lilian WING, daughter of Herbert Preston WING and Amy DOWNES, was born in 1908 in Potters Bar. She married Frederick John HUNTLEY on 1 November 1925 in Kensington, London. She died on 31 July 1987 in Harrow, Mdx. She had her estate probated on 20 October 1987 in Winchester, Ham.
